Granada's Heart

A destination of my country

 Cordoba is in Southern Spain. It´s a beautiful place and very popular with tourists. There are a lot of things you can do there. You can visit old buildings of the Middle Ages, visit museums or walk around many parks. You can also see the old quarter and go shopping.                                                                                                                                                                                                There are some great places to visit. There´s Medina Azahara, which is a beautiful city of the Middle Ages, and a mosque, as well as many beautiful monuments.

DEBERES DEL MARTES

SOCIALES: Hacer el ejercicio de vocabulario que copiamos en clase el lunes e ir empezando a estudiar para el examen de vocabulario que será la semana que viene.

MATES: Estudiar para la pruebecilla de mañana.

FRANCÉS: Estudiar el imperfecto de los verbos que hemos visto en clase,terminar la ficha del imperfecto y escoger una persona de tu familia y decir como era antes en comparación de como es ahora.

TECNOLOGÍA: Traer firmada la autorización del Parque de las Ciencias y el dinero,también traer el dinero del taller.

PLÁSTICA: Traer para mañana los bocetos de la habitación y del salón.

A WONDERFUL TIME AT NY CITY

A WEEK IN NYC

Monday:

-First, we are going to explore the city all the day to learn how is the city.

Tuesday:

-In the morning, we are going to visit Chinatown and we eat there. Then, we go to the Statue of Liberty. The cost is $17 for adults and $9 for children.

Wednesday:

-Today, we are going to visit the best part of New York City for me: Broadway. It´s a huge street with many theaters that we are going to visit. In the night we are going to dinner in a restaurant on times square.

Thursday:

-Today we are going to visit Central Park, this park it´s so beautiful and big. Then, we are going to see the chrysler building, the lights of that building are so beautiful.

Friday:

-On friday in the morning we are going to visit the Empire State building, it´s enormous. Later, we are going to visit The Metropolitan Museum of Art. At night we go to the airport to go to Spain.

A WEEKEND IN NY

A WEEKEND IN NEW YORK

On Friday:

In the morning we go to the Statue of Liberty, the prize is $28,00 each person. This travel includes a visit to Ellis Island, visit Liberty Island and watch the Statue of Liberty.

For lunch we go to a little restaurant front the Statue of Liberty. We take some sandwiches and a coffe. It is a very nice place and not very expensive.

At night we have dinner in “34th street Deli”, a very famous restaurant, this restaurant is very expensive because is one of the the best restaurants in New York.

On Saturday:

  In the morning we take a taxi to Empire State Building and we go upstairs to highest floor, where we can see all the city of New York.

  In afternoon we go to visit the American Natural History Museum, the ticket coast $22. The visit takes around two hours, it's a very interesting museum.

  When we finish the visit we take a walk around Manhattan and we visit 0 zone. Finally we have dinner in Little Italy in a restaurant call Little Italy too, a typical Italian restaurant.

On Sunday:
In the morning we go to Central Park where problably we can find a typical blues band, magicians and others street artists.
We have all the afternoon to go shopping in the 5^th avenue.
At night we go to see the Phantom Opera, a very famous musical in Broadway.

Technology Words

Hammer: Martillo: It is used to put nails.
Sandpaper: Lija: It is used to smooth.
Rasp: Escofina: It is used to smooth too.

TECHNOLOGY WORDS

Hot glue gun : Pistola termofusible. It is used to glueing two pieces.                                                     Nails: Clavos. It is used to join two pieces of wood.                                                                               Durability: Durabilidad. Is the ability of a material to withstand wear.

TECHNOLOGY WORDS

Mallet: Maza. It's a tool and we used for stricking wood chisels.
Pliers: Alicates. It's a tool and we used for bending or cutting wires.
Hardness: Dureza. Is the ability of a material to resist scratching.

TECHNOLOGY WORDS

Elasticity (elasticidad): It's the ability of a material to deform and then to return to its original shape and size
Wood chisel (formón): It's a tool and we used for carving the wood
You must use eyes protection (debes usar protección visual): Is an expression, that say that is necesary to use safety glasses to protect our eyes

Words and words.... Technology

Technology: Tecnología. It's the ensemble of knowledge, skills and techniques used to make objetcs, and with this objects solve problems.
Trip over something: Tropezar con algo. We have talk about this in class. We can say "I over something" or "trip on something". If you say "trip somebody up", it means "poner la zancadilla".
Trasparecy: Trasparencia.It's the quality of a material to be seen through.

I think this words and expressions are useful, I will not forget them.

Moros y cristianos

My fovourite festival is "Moros y Cristianos". It's celebrated in Benamaurel. During the festival, there are one or two parades each day. People who are in it wear costumes of moors or christians. At the end of two parades, they fight. At night, there are a lot of rides and "chiringuitos" where the typical food are "pinchitos". I like it because I take part of parades as a moor and I have a lot of fun with my friends. In the picture below I'm with my family wearing costumes when I was 10.

The Monument Of William Wallace

This is a monument of William Wallace,on top of Mount Abbey Craig, Scotland,is built in 1869.this is a sandstone tower of 70 meters high, in Victorian Gothic style and the architect is John Thomas Rochead.

To access the monument,is necessary to ascend the hill,and in turn can climb to the top of the monument through the 246stairs

.It's very beatiful this monument.I want to go to that site!

2º ESO B "The Mount Rushmore"

Today I learn, that the presidents that are in The Mount Rushmore, are:
   ·The first is George Washington (18th Century)
   ·The second is Thomas Jefferson (19th Century)
   ·The third is Theodore Roosevelt (20th Century)
   ·The fourth is Abraham Lincoln (19th Century)
The Mount Rushmore is in South Dakota, in the United States of America. It is very famous, and want to see it, when I am major :) 

2 DE ESO B. My typical saturday

 

  My week´s favourite day is saturday because I play a football match with my club. I always get up early in the morning, at 9 o´clock more or less, and before I have breakfast, I wear with team´s equipment. After that, I prepare the trainning´s staffs.
I go to the stadium and I play the match with my partners and we always try to win it.
When the match finishes, all of us arrive to our houses.
Them I eat a great meal with my family because I usually arrive home very hamgry.
I study a few hours and after all, I go out with my friends.
At half past nine, I have dinner and at ten o´clock I watch a film of TV.
I go to bed and finish my favourite day.

2º ESO B: My Typical Saturday

    Saturday is the best day of the week! I usually get up late because I'm very tired after the whole week. After I get dress and I go down stairs, I have breakfast at 11:00. Then, I go out with my friends until about 2:30 pm. At 3:15 I have lunch with my family.

      In the afternoon, I go out again with my friends and  watch TV. I love sports programmes. I usually go to sleep at about 1:30 am.

      In conclusion, I'm all the day away from home having fun.

             

2º ESO B: My weekend

               Hi i´m Fran and I go to tell you what I do on weekends.

               On Saturday´s usually I do my homeworks at the morning and in the afternoon I play computer games, but if I have a football match I get up early and I do the homeworks in evening.

               On Sunday´s I go to my grandparent´s home and I see a mortorcycle race, a car race or any football match. I eat paella and I return to my home. There, I prepare the backpack, I have a shower, I have dinner and I go to bed.

2ºESOB: My typical Saturday

   Saturday's my favourite day because I usually get up late. I eat breakfast with my family. My dad sometimes goes to buy "churros": they are delicious! Then, I often do homework or watch TV. After that, I help my mum in the kitchen. She makes delicious food.
   In the afternoon, I always go to scouts. I'm in a scout group and it is very funny! In the evening, I sometimes go to the cinema or to the park with my friends. I sometimes stay at home and I listen to music, too. I just want to relax on a Saturday. Hope you do the same!

2ºESOB MY TYPICAL SATURDAY

Saturday is my favourite day!                                                                                    I usually get up at eleven o'clock. I have breakfast a cereal with milk and then I drees up.          After I do my homework and study, then I listen to music. Around the three o'clock I have lunch.         In the afternoon always I meet with my friends and is very funny, we do silly. We go to the center or the park... At half past nine I go to my house and I have dinner.                                              At night I watch tv or read a book and I go to bed very late.                                                                                                                Saturday is great!

2º ESO B "Sundays of Football"

The Sundays are the days of football.

I get aup at 9:00; I have breakfast (I usually dreank hot milk and eat bread with butter). Then I often go and play football. I'm in a Sub 16 girls football team. After play football I go to my grandparent's house and I eat there, and also I see they.

I sleep a little in the evening; and in the afternoon, my family and I, put to watch the television, since are going to play football our two favourites teams: Real Madrid and Granada. Then when the match last, my cousins and I, play to the table football.

I love the Sundays! Its are my favourites days, but the only disadvantage is that the next day there are high ashool :(
